Scarlet Singers - Durrington Choir
Music is important as it provides another dimension to enhance our worship. The choir at All Saints regularly sing at the 10am Sunday service, weddings and concerts. They also take part in the Salisbury Diocesan Choral Festival held annually in Salisbury Cathedral where they join with choirs from around the Diocese.
The choir is made up of adults from within the parish who enjoy singing. Although none of them are professionally trained their enthusiasm is such that they will try anything once then, if it sounds good, they will sing it again and again.
In 2003 the then Bishop of Salisbury, Rt Revd Dr David Stancliffe, came to worship at All Saints and thanked the "wonderful Scarlet Singers" (the choirs dressed in their red robes); since then the name has stuck!
